There are a number of ways of hooking an Arduino up to a Raspberry Pi and I suppose the easiest way is to just install the IDE as noted below and plug your Arduino board in to a spare USB. This will run fine especially on the newer models Raspberry Pi 2B / 3B which are more than capable of handling the Arduino IDE. Install the IDE with this command:

sudo apt­get install arduino
