Your Pi Camera should always be be connected as follows before boot up.

On first boot up enter this command immediately after login but before entering desktop, If you’re already in desktop open up LX Terminal from Accessories tab in start menu.

sudo raspi-config
raspberry-pi-camera-installation-1

Using the arrow keys to nanvigate select Camera in the configuration screen.

scroll down to camera hit enter and select enable, you now need to reboot:

sudo reboot

Your RaspiCam is now enabled and ready to use, boot up   – log in and lets have some fun.
